CardioFlow Clinical Trial

OHVI is one of 14 clinical trial sites in the U.S. for the FAST II study.  This trial is evaluating the new FreedomFlow™ Orbital Circumferential Atherectomy System.  This device, somewhat similar to the already FDA-approved DiamondBack device, appears ideal for use in calcified plaque but early results indicate that it works well in non-calcified lesions, as well.  Below is a video of Dr. Weinstock performing a CardioFlow procedure as part of the trial at the Cardiovascular Center for Excellence in Orlando.  A highly complex, severe bifurcation lesion was treated using a combination of the CardioFlow FreedomFlow device and drug-coated balloon angioplasty to provide an excellent clinical without the need for surgery!
